Methods
Participants:
The 36 participants in this study mostly consisted of college students
from the University of Iowa ranging from freshman all the way up to seniors and
grad students. There were also participants from other colleges in the state of
Iowa such community colleges and a variety of four-year universities.
Procedures:
The participants
of this study were asked to answer a 7 question survey asking various questions
surrounding the topic, "if the use of cell phones affect students in a negative way
academically". In order to receive the most accurate information possible, this
survey was made anonymous. The questions were placed into a google forms
document, which allowed the survey to be accessible to everyone. All the
questions were multiple choice.
Data Analysis:
Once all 36
participants finished completing the survey, their answers were gathered and placed
into various charts that displayed the percentages of the answers provided. This
greatly benefits the study as it shows that the majority of students view cell
phones as a negative that can cause a decrease to their academics. This can
also become a domino effect as it can affect a students sleeping schedule,
adding another negative barrier connecting the cell phone and academics.
1. You used the headings very clear which I was able to see what you were talking about after each header.
ReplyDelete2. Yes you explained very clearly that there was 36 participants between the University of Iowa and Iowa State University as well explaining the age difference
3. You explained very well the procedures of what you did to get these 36 participants to take this survey but maybe try to explain what is google forms so they are aware.
4. I could tell what you did with your data analysis but try talking more about the graphs you got, meaning are there circles graphs or bar graphs just anyway you can explain your answer clearly. Other than that this method was really good.
