Minor Assignment 8/22/18

This beginning writing assignment explains that we must find an advanced writer in our field and have at least a minimum of 6 sources (3 academic and 3 non-academic). This writing assignment is a little different then I'm used to doing, but isn't exactly new either. Last year in my English class that I was taking, we were asked to ask someone in our field of choice what it was like and to really find out what the job was about. However, it was a much simpler assignment where this one asks much more of us. Finding an interview can take a while depending if you know the person or not and along with writing the questions and finding 6 additional sources can be quite time consuming. Particular writing genres are different for every person and finding what genre my interviewer has may help me see what is the best way to write in this field and possibly get some tips as well. This will be a great way for me to further expand my knowledge on my major, Marketing, and to understand what a true interview is like.
This paper will be great practice with writing to specific people in my area of interest as well as improving on analytical reports and finding good articles. I don't necessarily view myself as a great writer so I hope by the end of this class, and through these papers, I will become a much more sophisticated writer which is an aspect I will use for the rest of my life.
             Questions/Confusions:
1. When would you recommend that we begin looking for somebody to interview?
2. How many questions do you feel is a good amount to begin with?
3. Can we send the interviewer questions through email or do we have to have the interview in person?
